I have a mac mini (previous gen) with a Core2Duo processor at 2.0GHz, working mainly as a mediacentre. It does the job just fine, but I've noticed that when I use it for CPU-intensive tasks, such as direct-encoding video to stream to my iPad, the CPU-temps sky-rocket to well over 90ºC (i've seen iStat report 99ºC!), even though this doesn't affect performance at all and the system remains completely stable. The system fan starts humming at over 2000rpms and all, but that keeps the temperature that high. Heat sink temps reach around 70ºC..
